Victoria Adu, Alesha Johnson, Aniik McKenzie and Julia Herbst were named athletes of the week for their respective sport by the ICCAC.
Along with being named national athlete of the week, Adu also scored the track and field honor after her record-breaking throw in the hammer. The freshman from Germany registered a 59.71, which ranks third in NJCAA history.
Johnson, named ICCAC Player of the Year, was honored as volleyball athlete of the week after she had 44 assists and nine digs during the regional tournament. The Tritons secured the title, advancing to the national tournament.
McKenzie gave the Tritons a spark, returning the second half kickoff back against Iowa Western. The freshman from Florida averaged 65 yards per kickoff return.
All Herbst did was score six of Iowa Central's 15 goals in a win over Scott. The sophomore now has 31 career goals as a Triton.
