The 10th-ranked Iowa Central football team swept the ICCAC Player of the Week honors for the second time in two weeks, the league announced.
Demarcus Irons was named the offensive player of the week, with Brandt Casey claiming defensive and Rashad Witty special teams honors. The Tritons scored a 45-17 victory over Coffeyville inside Dodger Stadium.
Irons completed 11 of 15 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns, adding almost 80 more yards on the ground. On the season, he has over 600 yards of total offense.
Casey made 12 tackles and recovered a fumble on defense. The Arizona-native has 22 tackles in three games.
Witty showed his flexibility by catching three passes for 58 yards including a touchdown, taking a handoff on a run and returning kicks. Witty earned first team all-region honors last year for the Tritons.
Iowa Central hits the road for the next three weeks, starting with a date at College of DuPage in Illinois this Saturday.
