In a game that was back and forth for forty minutes, Kirkwood Community College pulled away from Iowa Central in overtime to win on Wednesday night by a score of 104-90. Neither team could get to a double digit lead with Kirkwood holding the largest lead in the game at 7 in the first half. Bryce Armstrong's 3 point field goal with 5 seconds left forced overtime. But in the overtime session, Kirkwood outscored Iowa Central 18-4 to pull away. "I thought for 40 minutes we played as well as we have all year. And then in OT, we decided to go our separate ways and play 1 on 1. Obviously that didn't work for us. But we battled and gave ourselves a chance. I guess that is all you can ask for." Said Dennis Pilcher, head coach of Iowa Central. "Now we need to have this kind of effort the last 4 games of the season to build some momentum for the conference tournament."
