MASON CITY - Tyler Kopp fired a round of 74 to place eighth at the NIACC Fall Invitational here on Thursday.
Kopp had a 36 on his first nine and followed with a 38. Iowa Lakes' James Preston was the medalist with a 70.
Overall, Iowa Central placed fourth with a 305, as DMACC was first (293). The Tritons were only five strokes out of third place NIACC with Iowa Lakes taking second.
Joe Forsting was 11th with a 75, Cody Dierks finished 17th (78) and Kyle Wille was 18th (78).
For the Iowa Central women, Kelly Boleyn finished ninth (90), Taylor Thede was 16th (95) and McKenzie Trinkle 18th (97).
The Tritons hit the course next on Monday when they head to Creston for the War at the Moor at the Crestmoor Golf Club.
