The Iowa Central men's golf team checks in at No. 6 in the nation in the latest rankings by Golf Stat.
The Tritons are right behind fellow ICCAC rival Des Moines Area and Meridian in the ratings.
Kirkwood, another conference foe, is No. 1 followed by Mississippi Gulf Coast and Northeast Mississippi in the NJCAA Div. II rankings.
"We've put together a great fall season," said Iowa Central head coach Kris Graewin. "It's nice to see how we stack up amongst the rest of the nation. Our region is absolutely loaded. We have four teams in the top 10 and six in the top 15. We know we have a very good squad this year and that's what I'm trying to build.
A team that's not only going to compete regionally every year but also at the national level. We were able to put up these scores this fall without Tomas Ribeiro and Kyle Wille wasn't fully healthy. The guys are very hungry to keep improving and are very excited to see what progress we can make over the off-season."
Iowa Central has an adjusted scoring average of 75.96.
