Track and Field Split Squad Results at Frank Sevigne Husker Invite and Ted Nelson Classic

The Triton Track and Field team competed in two meets this weekend.  Half of the Tritons competed at the University of Nebraska Frank Sevigne Husker Invite while the other half of the Tritons were in Mankato, Minnesota at the Ted Nelson Classic.  

The new National Qualifiers this weekend were Ethan Smith, who finished 2nd in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:21.42 (11th best in school history);  Kris Brown, who finished 2nd in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.86 (7th best in school history);  RJ (Evan) Williams, who finished 5th in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:23.07;  Samuel Joseph, who finished 3rd in the Triple Jump with a mark of 14.15m/46-05.25 ft (11th best mark in school history);  and Lea Grady, who finished 1st in the Weight Throw with a mark of 14.57m/47-09.75 ft (8th best in school history). 

Other notable performances included Jadon Watson, who finished 10th in the High Jump with a mark of 2.05m/6-08.75 ft  (9th best in school history); Awet Yohannes, who finished 8th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8:29.20 (8th best in school history); Innocent Murwanashyaka, who finished 13th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8:31.23 (9th best in school history); Demetrius Lassiter, who finished 4th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.89 (9th best in school history); Levi Bulfer, who finished 25th in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.98m/13-00.75 ft (6th best in school history); Jacob Wedig, who finished 11th in the Weight Throw with a distance of 16.35m/53.07.00 ft (13th best in school history); Caden Fenchel, who finished 13th in the Weight Throw with a distance of 16.33m/53-07.00 ft (14th best in school history); Lilian Busienei, who finished 6th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:01.67 (6th best in school history);  Florance Uwajeneza, who finished 9th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:05.26 (7th best in school history); and Maddie Schmoker, who finished 6th in the Weight Throw with a mark of 16.79m/55-01.00 ft (5th best in school history).
