Taekwondo Ends Season With a 1st Place Finish

The Iowa Central Community College Taekwondo Team competed in their season finale at the Iowa Governor's Cup Taekwondo Championships in Ames, IA on Saturday Apr 22, 2017. Tritons take first place in all 3 divisions: Team Points, Sportsmanship, and Participants. All 11 Triton athletes earned medals in competition. All 11 won a medal in sparring. Six athletes earned 2 medals each.  

"We couldn't be more proud of these student athletes for the manner in which they represented Iowa Central all season long and especially today dominating the Governor's Cup. This has been a hard working team. Our team will be even stronger next year as we are expecting to have 7 of our final 10 competing today wireturning next year.." Coach Faiferlick 

The Tritons are coached by Master Justin Faiferlick and Rob Hepperle.
