The Iowa Central Women's Basketball team will return to the court to open the 2017-2018 season on Thursday night. The Tritons will take on Grand View University with start time at 5:30 p.m. Kelly Kruger returns for his second season as Head Coach. Iowa Central will return two Sophomores from a year ago that received a significant amount of minutes as freshman. Rachel Toto and Sarah Rolling will bring experience to a young team of 12 freshman and a sophomore transfer. Rachel Toto, a sharp shooting guard, continues to get better each day in her decision making. She averaged 7.6 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game last year for the Tritons. Sarah Rolling, a tough nosed Forward in the paint, will continue to progress as a player for the Tritons this year. She averaged 8.9 points per game last year while shooting 51.6% from the field and grabbing 4.2 rebounds per game.
Iowa Central will play 30 regular season games with 16 of those games at home. "We hope to continue to make improvements amongst ourselves and our team as a whole. If we continue to work hard in practices, our play in games will continue to rise."
