Iowa Central's Ryan Wickman finished the season perfect in the field.
Wickman was one of nine NJCAA Div. II players named ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners.
"I'm very thankful for the honor," Wickman said. "I've always taken my defense very seriously and am very grateful for the recognition.
"I believe that defense is something that I can control all the time and it helps contribute to the team."
Wickman also thanks "Coach (Jake) Astor and Coach (Eric) Stein for pushing us in practice to be our best."
On the year, Wickman hit .369 with two homers, 45 runs, 30 RBI and 19 stolen bases. He also worked 34 walks, sporting a .521 on-base percentage and a .494 slugging to go along with his perfect play in the field.
Joining Wickman on the honor team from the ICCAC were Ellsworth's TJ Truso and Northeast's Samuel Manwarren.
Wickman has yet to make his decision on his future.
