Six Iowa Central football players were honored as both all-ICCAC and all-region first-team selections, the league announced.
The Tritons finished the regular season 5-3, securing second place in the conference. They will close out the spring season on Saturday against New Mexico Military in the Graphic Edge Bowl at Dodger Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.
Earning first-team all-ICCAC honors were Jadon Washington, Desna Washington, Madison Ridgeway, Richard Rodriguez, Maximus McCree, Tristin Waugh, Garret Ollendieck, Major Williams and Jacob Tokheim.
Jadon Washington, Desna Washington, Rodriguez, McCree, Waugh, Ollendieck and Williams were also on the all-region first team along with Dylan Cain. Second-team all-region picks included Byron Jarrett, Ridgeway, Jayce Levy, Anthony Berry, Ryan Johnson, Bryant Barrier, CJ Christian and Ahmond Glass.
In seven games, Jadon Washington ran for a team-high 477 yards, scoring four touchdowns. Desna Washington has recorded 15 receptions for a team-leading 380 yards with four TDs while Ridgeway has a team-best 28 catches for 300 yards and four scores.
Waugh recorded 31 tackles including five sacks, Ollendieck had 45 tackles, four sacks and an interception, and Williams was in on 35 tackles with an interception that he returned for a score. Tokheim averaged almost 39 yards per punt, with eight of his 30 landing inside the 20.
Brady Pope, Clayton Ollendieck, Jakob Bradford, Deonte Bryant, Wesley Bazzle, Malik Adams, Aniik McKenzie and Tokheim made honorable mention.
Rodriguez and Waugh were both first-team repeat selections, as they were also honored during the 2019 season. Berry and Adams made the all-region team for a second time.
Iowa Western's Nate Glantz was the offensive player of the year, Ellsworth's Jonathan Forson defensive player of the year and Scott Strohmeier from Iowa Western coach of the year.
