The final piece to the 2020-21 year came from the Iowa Central football team.
Behind a late drive led by Byron Jarrett, the Tritons claimed a third consecutive Graphic Edge Bowl, besting New Mexico Military 23-21 inside Dodger Stadium.
Jarrett earned offensive MVP after throwing for 105 yards, rushing for 60 and recording two touchdowns while Bilhal Kone was the defensive MVP after picking off two passes. The Triton defense held New Mexico Military well under the 42 points they came into the game averaging.
Earning first-team all-ICCAC honors were Jadon Washington, Desna Washington, Madison Ridgeway, Richard Rodriguez, Maximus McCree, Tristin Waugh, Garret Ollendieck, Major Williams and Jacob Tokheim.
Jadon Washington, Desna Washington, Rodriguez, McCree, Waugh, Ollendieck and Williams were also on the all-region first team along with Dylan Cain. Second-team all-region picks included Byron Jarrett, Ridgeway, Jayce Levy, Anthony Berry, Ryan Johnson, Bryant Barrier, CJ Christian and Ahmond Glass.
Brady Pope, Clayton Ollendieck, Jakob Bradford, Deonte Bryant, Wesley Bazzle, Malik Adams, Aniik McKenzie and Tokheim made honorable mention.
"This group overcame several challenges to really help us get on the right foot moving towards the fall season," Iowa Central head coach Jesse Montalto said. "We had some incredible performances and memorable wins, and now, we have some good momentum going forward."
