Several Iowa Central football players were named NJCAA All-Americans, the NJCAA Football Committee announced.
Richard Rodriguez, Maximus McCree, Garret Ollendieck and Major Williams each made the second team, with Jadon Washington and Tristin Waugh earning honorable mention status.
Rodriguez was a repeat selection, as the future Temple Owl was also honored as a freshman.
The Tritons finished the spring season 6-3, including a 23-21 victory over New Mexico Military in the Graphic Edge Bowl. Iowa Central won its last three games of the year.
Rodriguez and McCree were key members of the offensive line that helped pave the way for almost 1,300 yards rushing and another 1,759 passing. The Tritons scored 38 offensive touchdowns.
Ollendieck, a linebacker, had 47 tackles including five sacks, 10 tackles for loss and an interception. Williams, a member of the secondary, recorded 36 tackles with an interview and seven pass breakups. He also had a block and returned both a kickoff and interception back for touchdowns.
Washington ran for a team-high 477 yards and led Iowa Central with 579 all-purpose yards. Waugh had 33 tackles and six sacks.
A total of 18 ICCAC players were named to the three teams.
