Iowa Central, ranked #9, overcame #12 Garden City on the road 40-21 this past weekend. Keyvon'tey Fowler was a problem on the defensive side for the Tritons. Fowler, a second-year defensive back out of Florida, collected 11 total tackles and two forced fumbles for Iowa Central – both resulting in Triton takeaways. Fowler played in seven games last season and through just two weeks of play has more than doubled his tackles (7) from last year. 

Elijah Graham, defensive back for Iowa Central, made his impact in Saturday's win on the punt return unit. Graham picked up a blocked punt and returned it 28 yards for a Triton touchdown for the first score of the game. Iowa Central went on to beat #12 Garden City 40-21. So far this season, Graham has collected six tackles on the season with one pass breakup.
