ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Sempere

Aleix Sempere – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Forward
Iowa Central is up to No. 5 in the nation this week after a strong start to the 2025-26 season. Aleix Sempere had a breakout week as the Tritons improved to 8-0 with decisive wins over Mt. Mercy JV and Kansas City Kansas. First, against Mt. Mercy, Sempere had a season-high 27 points on 13 of 17 shooting to go with 16 rebounds. He backed that up with another double-double, this time against NJCAA competition, going for 20 points and 11 rebounds against KCK – while adding three assists and two blocks. Sempere averages 13.5 points and 10.4 rebounds this season in eight games.
