The Iowa Central men's soccer varsity reserve team ended their season with a thrilling 3-1 victory over the Northern Iowa Club team on Thursday.
Behind two goals from Asali Hagos and one by Isack Pontes, the Tritons posted a 3-1 victory, overcoming a 1-0 deficit. Hagos is from Des Moines Lincoln and Pontes graduated from St. Edmond and played for Fort Dodge Senior High.
"These guys really worked hard and stayed focused throughout the season," Iowa Central varsity reserve head coach Jordan Sibenaller said. "They continued to get better and play as one collective unit, and that really showed in their last match.
"I'm proud of them, especially the eight sophomores who were on the field to end the game."
