The Iowa Central men's soccer team will get the benefit of playing at home to begin play in the Region XI Tournament.
The Tritons will host Indian Hills at Rogers Sports Complex in the first round Sunday. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
During the regular season, Iowa Central (8-7 overall) and Indian Hills (6-10-2) split with each winning on the road. The Tritons posted a 3-1 victory early in October in Ottumwa, with the Warriors rebounding with a 2-1 win last weekend in overtime.
Kirubel Yerga and Lucas Pollacchi lead Iowa Central in goals, as Yerga has 12 and Pollacchi 10. Ombeni Mubake also has four goals and Bakari Mtende three.
Yerga and Pollacchi each had seven assists with Come Grieu recording 38 saves in net.
After starting the year 5-2-1, Indian Hills struggled down the stretch, going just 1-8-1. They are coming off a 1-0 loss to ranked Illinois Central.
Pablo Marques has a team-high 12 goals with five assists, while Kento Tani has nine goals and Shogo Koike six assists.
The winner between Iowa Central and Indian Hills will travel to Council Bluffs on Wednesday to face Iowa Western in the semifinals.
