NEW ORLEANS – All-America honors for the 2017 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-America status by finishing among the top-8 in their events – including as a member of a relay team – at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships that were held in Hutchinson, Kansas last month.

A total of 29 Tritons claimed 40 All-American honors this season.  The Triton Women were led by three time All-Americans Annastacia Forrester (High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump) and Alexia Stein (Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer).  Two time All-Americans were Marion Bartilol (5000m and 10000m), Agnes Mansaray (800m and 4x800 Relay), and Aaliyah Regg Wajid (Steeplechase and 4x800 Relay).

Latoya Hunt (4x800 Relay), Marta Lukijaniuk (Steeplechase), Mesha Newbold (100m Hurdles), Julia Odir (Long Jump), Katy Pfile (4x800 Relay), Payton Roberts (Shot Put), and Mallory Vawter (Heptathlon) were also named All-Americans. 

The Triton Men were led by two time All-Americans Karim Achengli (5000m and 10000m), Edward Anderson (400m Hurdles and 4x100 Relay), Ashenafi Hatte (1500m and 4x800 Relay), and Sterling Mungro (Discus and Hammer). 

Denzelle Anglin (4x800 Relay), Ashley Bailey (4x100 Relay), Malik Beverly (4x100 Relay), Bryant Brown (4x100 Relay), Malek Evans (Hammer), Wyatt Gatrost (4x800 Relay), Alexander Jackson (Steeplechase), Deangelo Jackson (Triple Jump), Ezekiel Kipchirchir (Steeplechase), Justin Main (4x800 Relay), Travis Peterson (Hammer), Damique Rose (110m Hurdles), and Jared Seay (Decathlon) were named All-Americans in their respective events.
