Aries Scott was named the ICCAC Field Male Athlete of the Year, the conference announced.
Scott was one of four athletes honored.
Damoy Allen of Indian Hills was the track male athlete of the year with Nickisha Pryce of Iowa Western earning female track honors and Victory George from Iowa Western scoring field female athlete status.
Scott won the decathlon and the high jump events at the Region XI Championships and finished runner up in the pole vault and long jump. He also had a top five finish in the 400-meter hurdles.
Scott set personal bests in eight of the 10 events of the decathlon at regionals. He is Top-5 in the country in the long jump and No. 3 in the decathlon.
Iowa Central's Ashley Micheaux was second in the field category, Hannah Connell was second in track and Jaheem Hayles second in men's track.
Brent Ewing of Indian Hills won the men's coach award and Douglas Marshall from Iowa Western the women's.
First, second and honorable mention all-region selections were also awarded.
