Coaches Corner
"We had a great two days this weekend but what's really exciting is we still have so much more go to go. It was fun to have a lot more athletes at meets this weekend and see what our well-rounded team can really do."
"We added eight more to the national qualifying list, we are in a good spot only in the 2nd week of the season," said Head Track and Field Coach Anne Cleary.
"Our mid and distance groups showed strong today with seven national qualifiers and three additions to our all-time list. Mohamed and Chakib ran the second fastest times in school history in the mile and 3k respectively. Mohamed's mile time currently leads the nation and is the 8th fastest mile in NJCAA history while Chakib ran the 14th fastest 3k time ever in the NJCAA," said Coach Dee Brown.
Up Next - Next weekend the multi-event athletes, sprinters, jumpers and throwers will compete at the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Triton mid and distance runners will travel to Brookings, SD to compete in the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational hosted by South Dakota State University.
