Iowa Central's Loghen Schnetzer has been named an All-American for the second time this season.
The NJCAA released teams on Friday, placing the Triton freshman on the third-team. Schnetzer was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Div. II All-America first team following her record-breaking campaign.
Schnetzer, a former Fort Dodge Senior High all-stater, hit a single-season school-record 27 home runs. She drove in 83 with 61 runs scored, 16 doubles and a triple, hitting .410 on the year.
"Loghen just came in and picked up the college game almost instantly," Iowa Central head coach Bo Tjebben said. "She really came on once we got back to Iowa and started playing league games. Competing in one of the toughest conferences in junior college softball, she dominated.
"I'm very proud of Loghen and excited to see what she can do next year as a Triton."
Schnetzer was one of seven players from the ICCAC to be honored in both Div. I and Div. II.
