Coach Bill Myers is entering his 2nd year as a volunteer assistant on coach Tjebben’s staff at Iowa Central. He recently retired from the Army National Guard after serving 10 years of Guard time, followed by 20 years of active duty.
He’s been Assistant Coach the past 4 years for Fort Dodge Saint Edmond High School Softball, assisting them to State Tournament appearances the past 3 consecutive years, while capturing 4 straight North Central Conference Championships. He’s also Coached in the travel circuit for 8 years, involved in several different organizations, Fort Dodge Pride, Freedom Fastpitch and the Iowa Premier National Team (3 years) based out of Des Moines. In 2023 he assisted that Iowa Premier 16U National team to a 3rd place finish at the Alliance National Tournament in California.
Coach Myers was born and raised in Fort Dodge. His family includes his wife, Son and 3 daughters. His wife G Myers played soccer here at Iowa Central from 2000-2002. His son Jordan Myers lives in Arizona with his wife Aleah and their new baby Willow. All 3 daughters go to St Edmond and play softball, Mariah (18) was awarded 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year, recently graduated SEHS and is now attending the University of Iowa, playing Hawkeye softball. Rihanna (14) plays for the Ankeny XTREME and St Edmond Gaels, is in 9th grade and Aaliyah (11) plays for the Fort Dodge Pride and is in 6th grade.
