The Tritons will return to Hodges Fieldhouse for their first contest of 2019 to host the Reivers of Iowa Western Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Iowa Central (9-4, 0-1) finished the 2018 calendar year with a 70-67 win over the Lake Region State College Royals at the NDSCS Baymont Inn Classic.

The Tritons are currently led in scoring by sophomores: Brittany West (12.1ppg), Tierra Itula (11.7), and Avery Terwilliger (10.6). Itula also leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.8 per contest. As a team, Iowa Central is shooting 43.1% from the floor and 68.2% from the charity stripe.

Iowa Western currently holds a 9-7 record overall. Kiara Dallmann is pacing the Reivers with 12.8ppg and 6.8rpg. Aubrina Noti leads the team on the boards, averaging 9.4 per contest. As a team, Iowa Western is shooting 40.4% on the year and knocks down 60.2% of their free throw attempts.
