Coming off two double-doubles, Iowa Central sophomore Isabell West has been named the NJCAA Div. II Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
West also earned honors from the ICCAC for her efforts on the hardwood, which helped the Tritons go 1-1.
The Minnesota native averaged 30 points and 15 rebounds during the two games, shooting 60 percent from the field.
After the win over Southeastern, Bell said "It felt really good to win, especially after our loss on Wednesday. We were very excited as a team in the locker room after the game. I've just been focused on doing whatever I can to contribute to the team.
"It also helps that I have a great group of girls that have my back and I have their back."
Bell followed up her 27-point, 20-rebound game vs. Iowa Lakes by scoring 34 points with 11 rebounds against Southeastern for her 17th career double-double. She is averaging 18.8 points and 11.8 rebounds on the year, shooting almost 53 percent from the field.
The Tritons host Ellsworth Wednesday night inside Hodges Fieldhouse beginning at 5 p.m.
