The Iowa Central Women's Basketball Team used their full roster to run to a 70-39 win over Sisseton Wahpeton College of South Dakota Saturday afternoon in Hodge's Fieldhouse.
Trailing 11-7 at the end of the first quarter, the Tritons played a stronger second quarter to take back the lead, going up 23-20 over the Mustangs at the half.
"We came up a little flat in the first half," said Triton Head Coach Sabah Dickerson. "We went back to the drawing board for a good second half."
Iowa Central led 44-30 at the end of the third quarter, outscoring Sisseton 21-10.
The Tritons were led in scoring by freshmen Kaitlyn Tendal with 19 points, Aleaha Pommer with 15 points and Emily Theiss with 10 points.
By the fourth quarter the full Triton Roster saw time on the court with each member of the team adding to the score.
"Offensively we were able to attack at the rim knowing they (Sisseton) did not have a deep roster," said Dickerson. "Defensively we really worked our side ball, this game was good preparation for us to get back into the rest of our ICCAC season."
"We out-rebounded (the opponent) by 27 for 60 rebounds and really had a great night on the glass," Dickerson said. "All of our girls saw quality minutes of play; the first time all season the entire roster scored. The entire team did really good on the glass today."
The Tritons return to action at home at 5 p.m. Wednesday against Northeast Community College of Nebraska.
