Having already eclipsed their win total (7) from last season with 10, the Triton Women (11-3) added one more as they closed out 2025 with a 59-57 victory over DIII #1 Anoka-Ramsey on Wednesday (12/31) at the New Year's Eve Classic in Worthington, Minnesota.

Down by as many as eleven early, the Tritons battled back to trail by one at half and outscored the Rams 30-27 in a second half that saw nine lead changes. The Tritons' largest lead was five points with just over six minutes to play.

"It was a gritty road victory," said Triton Head Coach, Graham McFall. "We got off to a slow start, but we weathered the storm and stepped up as a group. We managed the late game situations well and got stops when we needed them the most."

The Tritons were led by Trista Ohlmeier with 24 points, ten rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Ohlmeier's double-double performance was her eighth of the season. Ashlin Jacobsen scored nine points and had two assists. MacKenna Bush added nine points and Amelia Echternkamp scored eight. Shakani Murray led the Tritons in assists with six.

"Everyone played a part in getting it done today with quality balance on offense," said McFall. "It was a standout performance from Trista with another double-double and a stellar afternoon shooting the ball from MacKenna."

The victory moves the Tritons to 11-3 as they prepare for a Saturday (1/3) afternoon matchup with Iowa Western inside Hodges Fieldhouse. Tip is set 1:00 PM.
