Phone: 515-574-1343

Beginning her first season of her collegiate basketball coaching career, Hailey Hohenecker brings a variety of experiences to Iowa Central Community College as the assistant women’s basketball coach. In April 2025, Hohenecker was selected to attend the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) “So You Want To Be A Coach” program which provided her with professional development and other opportunities in her coaching career. Hohenecker’s most recent experience was in Portugal where she competed in the women’s Eurobasket Summer League in 2025.

Hohenecker has been a competitive athlete from a very young age. She attended Providence Academy in Plymouth, MN, where she competed in cross country, basketball and track & field. During her senior season, Hohenecker led her basketball team to the MN Class AA State Tournament in 2020. Because of the pandemic, the tournament was cancelled after the preliminary games. In addition to receiving several school athletic awards, Hohenecker also earned All-Conference awards 7 times throughout her high school career and scored over 1,000 points. She received All State awards in Track & Field twice and was named to the All-State Honorable Mention team by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches’ Association in 2020.

After graduating from high school in 2020, Hohenecker went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN) from 2020-2021. She then transferred to DI basketball at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 2021-2023. While at UALR, Hohenecker earned the Women’s Basketball Team Unsung Hero Award in 2022 for her outstanding team leadership and work ethic. She then made the decision to transfer to Chicago State University from 2023-2025. She concluded her collegiate basketball career and graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Chicago State University. While at CSU, Hohenecker was named Women’s Basketball Most Valuable Player for the 2024-2025 season. She also served as team captain and was President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Hohenecker is excited to share all her experiences with Iowa Central Women’s Basketball. She brings the same energy and work ethic that she had as a player to the coaching side of the game. She is a very talented and dedicated coach who strives to help every student-athlete reach their full potential both on and off the basketball court.
