ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Three Tritons

Emma Phelps – Iowa Central – Sophomore
Emma Phelps delivered five steady games for the Tritons at the KEGEL/ISBPA Collegiate Classic. Phelps totaled an 879 pinfall with a 175.8 average. Her best performance came in the final game, where she rolled a 203. She was the highest-finishing ICCAC bowler and the top finisher among all NJCAA competitors. Phelps will compete again at the MIBC Championships this weekend.

Nicholas Rajkovic – Iowa Central – Freshman
Iowa Central's Nicholas Rajkovic earned ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors once again this past week. Rajkovic opened with a 177 before finishing the final four games with scores of 221, 248, 223 and 189 to lead the Tritons to one of their strongest team performances of the season, totaling 1,114 pins in a team game. Rajkovic was the highest-finishing ICCAC competitor and will bowl again at the MIBC Championships this weekend.

Saad Rifi Loutfi – Iowa Central – Sophomore – 1,000 Meters
At the Bill Bergan Classic in Ames, Iowa, Saad Rifi Loutfi set an Iowa Central school record in the 1,000 meters. Loutfi ran a time of 2:22.59, which set the school record, is the best time in the NJCAA this season and is the top indoor mark since 2023. In addition, the time is the NJCAA all-time best on an oversized track. Loutfi placed fifth overall, finishing behind runners from NCAA programs Iowa State and Drake.
