ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Becerra-Diaz, Nkosi

Ivanna Becerra Diaz – Iowa Central – Sophomore
Ivanna Becerra Diaz captured the individual title at the North Plains District in dominant fashion, earning a seven-stroke victory and solidifying her status as one of the top players in NJCAA Division II golf, currently ranked No. 6 nationally. Her steady play across both rounds was unmatched, as she posted six-over-par scores each day—both rounds standing as the best individual performances on their respective days. Becerra Diaz's consistency led the way for Iowa Central, who now advances to the National Championships in Boone, Iowa, where she will enter as a strong contender for the individual crown.

Bongumusa Nkosi – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Long Jump, 200 Meters, 400 Meters 
Bongumusa Nkosi delivered a standout performance at the Region 11 Championships, earning the most points of any athlete at the meet with a total of 28 across three events. He claimed gold in both the Long Jump, with a leap of 7.65 meters, and the 200 Meters, clocking in at 20.67, before adding a runner-up finish in the 400 Meters with a time of 46.33. Each of Nkosi's marks ranks in the NJCAA top 10 and stands as a personal best, capping off an exceptional all-around showing that helped lead his team on the regional stage.
