ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Quintero, Stockdale

Okira Quintero – Iowa Central – Freshman
Participating in the Graceland Spring Invitational, Iowa Central's Okira Quintero tied for eighth place. On the first day, Quintero recorded four pars and finished with a score of 93 (+21). On the second day, she climbed four spots in the standings, recording 10 pars—including six on the front nine—and improved her score by 11 strokes with an 82 (+10). Competing as an individual, Quintero earned the second-best finish among individual participants.

Haydn Stockdale – Iowa Central – Sophomore – Hammer Throw
Iowa Central's Haydn Stockdale placed third at the Central College Dutch Invitational this past week. Participating in the Hammer Throw, Stockdale was the top NJCAA thrower in the field with a heave of 59.25 meters. The only two throwers to place above him were seniors from Iowa State University, making Stockdale the only underclassman to finish in the top three. His mark in the Hammer Throw currently leads the NJCAA this season and is the third-best mark in Iowa Central school history.
