MASON CITY - The sixth-ranked Iowa Central wrestling team was clipped by No. 9 North Iowa Area here Wednesday night in ICCAC dual action, 26-23.

The Trojans (2-1 overall) picked up 11 bonus points to secure the victory over the Tritons (0-3).

Earning wins on the mat for Iowa Central was Aidan Harris, Amir Pierce, Andrew Gamble, Jose Rodriguez and Jorden Pryor.

Harris earned a 9-4 decision at 133 pounds, Pierce picked up a first period fall at 141 and Gamble claimed an 11-4 decision at 157.

Rodriguez scored a fall at 174 and Pryor closed the night with a technical fall at heavyweight.

Chad Klein, Keaton Geerts, Aiden Carr and Hugo Harp dropped matches for Iowa Central.

Next action for the Tritons will be March 7 at the NJCAA North Central District in Council Bluffs.
