Matt Sarbo worked his way through the 149 pound bracket last weekend at the NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament to take home the crown. Coming in as the No. 3 seed - Sarbo worked past the other top two seeds in the final two rounds to win. He beat Kanaipono Tapia of North Idaho 5-3 in the semifinals before earning another decision in the championship -- a 9-6 win over Dylan Brown of Northeast Oklahoma. Sarbo was the Triton's lone national champion this season -- Iowa Central has taken the last two 149 pound titles with Keaton Geerts winning it all in 2022.
