The Iowa Central Indoor Track and Field teams headed over to Brookings, South Dakota for the SDSU Indoor Classic this weekend. The Tritons broke 2 new school records and qualified in 16 events for the National Championships. The Women's 4 x 800 Relay team of Aaliyah Regg Wajid, Abeba Sullivan, Agnes Mansaray, and Adva Cohen dominated the race with a winning time of 9:15.32, breaking the school record and recording the fastest time in NJCAA this year. Adva Cohen also broke her own school record, with her winning time of 16:16.50 in the 5000 meter run, which was also a meet record, facility record, and Isreal U23 National Record, as well as the fastest time ever in the NJCAA. The Triton women scored 15 points, coming in 7th in the team standings and the Triton men scored 28 points, coming in 3rd in the team standings.
