The Triton Volleyball team returned home for a Friday night triangular. First up was the Neosho Tigers. Neosho entered the match ranked #19 in the latest NJCAA polls. The Tritons controlled most of the first set, but couldn't hold on, dropping set 1 24-26. The Tritons turned it around for set 2, winning 25-14. Set 3 was another back and forth battle with the Tritons ending up on top 25-22. The momentum carried over to set 4, as Iowa Central won 25-12. Stat leaders for the Tritons were Gabby Sullivan with 20 kills, 14 digs, 3 blocks, and 1 ace; Libby Zorn had a great night with 17 kills on .425 hitting with a dig and 2 blocks. Kayla Faldet had a great match with 9 kills on .474 hitting with 7 digs and 6 blocks. Abby Lohrmann added 47 assists with 2 aces and 2 blocks, and Michele O'Haver added 37 digs, 2 assists, and an ace.
The second match paired the Tritons with the DCTC Blue Knights. The Tritons flexed their muscles in match 2, winning with scores of 25-8, 25-7, and 25-17. Libby Zorn led all attackers with 13 kills on 17 swings (.765) to complete her error-free night. Gabby Sullivan added 8 kills and Lexi Green 5. Abby Lohrmann had 19 assists and Fernanda Orsi added 7 assists. The Tritons had 14 services aces with Sullivan, Lohrmann, Michele O'Haver, and Liza Hatcher all with 3 aces. Abby Lohrmann led the defense with 17 digs, O'Haver and Kryssie Okinaka added 9 a piece. Lexi Green led the blockers with 4 blocks while Asarar Gony chipped in 2.
The Tritons are now 23-7 on the year. They return to action Wednesday night with a home match vs NIACC.
