Steffes Named NJCAA National Player of the Week

Katilyn Steffes was named both the ICCAC Conference Player of the Week and the NJCAA National Player of the Week.  Steffes, an Iowa Central sophomore hitter, helped the Tritons go 4-1 on the week and was voted the MVP of the Iowa Central Invitational. She racked up 96 kills in the five matches for more than five kills per set. She had a season-high 24 kills versus Bismarck State. Five times this year she has eclipsed the 20-kill total. Steffes leads the nation in kills with 211 -- 15 more than second place. Iowa Central is 10-2 and ranked No. 8 in the country.
