Sara Horn enters her 14th season as head coach of the Iowa Central volleyball team.
The Tritons had a memorable 2025 fall season, qualifying for the NJCAA Div. II Championships for the sixth year in a row, placing 9th. Iowa Central went 31-9 during the season, going undefeated and winning the ICCAC for the 7th time in the last 8 years.
The Tritons had All-Americans in Talya Sampson, who was named an NJCAA 1st Team All-American and Anabel Seaman, who was named at NJCAA 3rd Team All-American. Talya was also named an AVCA 1st Team All-American and the ICCAC Player of the Year, while being named a 1st Team All-Conference selection. Anabel Seaman was also named a 1st Team All-Conference player, with Meah McCaleb and Dena Robb making 2nd Team All-Conference and Addi Hindt earning Honorable Mention.
In the past six seasons the Triton Volleyball program has a 228-45 record, won five ICCAC Conference titles, five Regional Championships, and made six National Tournament appearances.
Horn is a 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska, where she was a three-year letter winner for the Cornhuskers. While at Nebraska, Horn earned first-team academic all-Big 12 honors in 2002 and 2003 and was a second-team academic all-Big 12 selection in 2001. She helped lead Nebraska to Big 12 championships in 2001 and 2002 and an NCAA Final Four appearance in 2001. As a senior, Horn ranked third in the Big 12 with an average of 1.26 blocks per game and was fifth in the league with a .317 hitting percentage.
Horn and her husband, Guy, who is Athletic Director at Iowa Central, live in Fort Dodge with their three children, Hunter, Eden and Emerie.
