Abbey Maue is entering her second season as an assistant coach for the Iowa Central volleyball team.
Maue played volleyball for two years at Des Moines Area Community College from 2020-2022. Her sophomore year she averaged 1.10 blocks per set, ranking second in her conference, as well as accumulating 135 total blocks, ranking fourth in the conference and 15th in the nation. In the same year, Mauereceived ICCAC Defensive Player of the Week and All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
Maue then went on to finish her degree at Iowa State University, where she majored in genetics. While attending school, she coached for three years at Roots Volleyball Academy, a national club team based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Originally, Maue is from Walker, Iowa, where she attended high school at Center Point-Urbana. She played four years of volleyball, receiving WAMAC 2nd-team All-Conference honors her senior year, as well as four years of golf in the spring.
Maue also works in housing while at Iowa Central, living in Fort Dodge with her boyfriend, Brett.
