ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Ross and Dahmouch

Alexis Ross – Iowa Central – Sophomore – 138lbs
Alexis Ross went 5-0 this past week at the 138 pound weight class for Iowa Central Women's Wrestling. Ross and the Tritons went to the Cliff Keen Mike Duroe Invite where she picked up four of her five victories. She powered through opponents from Central Methodist, Lyon and Wartburg. She won two matches by decision and two by Tech Fall including a 10-0 result in the first place bout. Earlier in the week, Ross, ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA at 138, faced off against #4 Ruth Jimenez Batista of Indian Hills and won 5-0.

Mohamed Dahmouch – Iowa Central – Freshman – Mile
After running the Mile Run at the Hawkeye Invite this past week, Iowa Central's Mohamed Dahmouch now leads the NJCAA by a full five seconds in the event this season. Dahmouch ran a 4:04.90 mile which places him second all-time in the record books at Iowa Central and eighth all-time in the NJCAA. At the Hawkeye Invite Dahmouch finished second overall, only behind a senior from Loyola (Ill.), an NCAA Division I school.
