Tritons Capture First-Ever North Central District Regional Tournament

Following their first NJCAA Coaches Association National Duals title, the seventh-ranked Triton Women's Wrestling team are now the first ICCAC North Central District Champions. 

Scoring 167 points, the Tritons outpaced Iowa Western who finished second with 157 points. Indian Hills was a distant third with 71 points.

Individually the Tritons had four champions, with Annabelle Petsinger (124 lbs.), Avery Mohr (131 lbs.), Alexis Ross (138 lbs.), and Delise Villa (145 lbs.) scoring victories.

Myah Rausch (103 lbs.), Aneth Campos (110 lbs.), Aniyah Dinwiddie (124 lbs.), Brylie Schaub (180 lbs.), Maia Esera (207 lbs.), and Breanna Salgado (235 lbs.) all wrestled to second-place finishes and Cynthia Ellis finished in third place at 207 pounds. 

After finishing second at last year's NJCAA National Tournament, the Tritons will look for their first national title when NJCAA National Tournament action begins on Friday, March 7th and continues on Saturday, March 8th in Council Bluffs, IA at the Mid-American Center.
