Tritons Sweep ICCAC AOW Awards

Iowa Central's Mohamed Dahmouch raced in the Indian Hills Invitational last Friday. Dahmouch, a freshman, collected his first win of the season after clocking a 24:08.8 8k-time, which ranks him sixth all-time in school history. He beat out 74 other runners on his birthday, which included 38 other ICCAC runners apart of seven different teams. Dahmouch and the Tritons team look ahead to the Region 11 Championships on October 25th in Ottumwa, Iowa -- the same site as the Indian Hills Invite.

Maud Lambotte, an Iowa Central freshman, ran a strong 5k race at the Indian Hills Invitational last weekend. Lambotte took home second place beating all other ICCAC runners in attendance. She clocked a time of 18:23.4, a personal best which ranks her 25th in school history. Lambotte beat out 64 other runners at the event. Lambotte and the Iowa Central team look ahead to the Region 11 Championships on Oct. 25 at the same course in Ottumwa. Lambotte is the fourth different Iowa Central female to win the ICCAC Female Athlete of the Week Award. Previous winners were Yididiya Bifa, Abbi Hutchinson, and Marie Garret. Bifa has earned this honor twice this season.
