The Iowa Central men's basketball used a key 14-1 run in the middle of the second half to open up a tight game on Saturday against Ellsworth in a 65-56 victory. Key baskets by Tray Croft and Dallas Bailey were the difference in that run. With the victory, Iowa Central raises its record to 17-6 overall and 3-3 in ICCAC play. "We just kind of hung around there for a long time in the game then finally made some plays down the stretch to open the game up. I thought we took some good shots, tightened up our defense in the second half to enable us to get the victory. We didn't shoot the ball percentage wise very well, but I thought when we needed it the most, we made shots," Said Dennis Pilcher, Iowa Central head coach. "I thought too in the second half we limited them on second chance opportunities. First half, they got way to many offensive rebounds. So that was encouraging we controlled the glass. Overall this was a good victory to finish the first half of conference season."
