The Iowa Central men's basketball program won their first round Regional Tournament game at Ellsworth on Tuesday night by a score of 72-67. In a game that was back and forth till the last minute 30 seconds, Iowa Central was able to hit key free throws down the stretch for the final score. "In all 3 games with Ellsworth this year, they have come down to the end. We are two pretty even teams. I thought we got some key defensive stops at the crucial times which helped us win. Now we have to get ready for Kirkwood at their place which won't be easy." Said Dennis Pilcher, head coach of Iowa Central.
