Marshalltown used a big second half run to put the Iowa Central men away here Sunday inside Hodges Fieldhouse, 76-54.
Prior to the Thanksgiving break, the Tigers rallied late to top the Tritons at their home.
David Roberts scored 27 points and Gedeon Shango added 16 for Marshalltown (6-4 overall), who outscored Iowa Central (5-5) 39-22 in the second half.
For the Tritons, Javonte Keck had 14 and Kyler Matthias added 10.
"Our troubles from the first time we played them carried right over," Iowa Central head coach Chad Helle said. "We couldn't get past their length. It really gave us a lot of trouble on both ends of the court.
"And we didn't do a good enough job of adjusting, either."
Iowa Central relied on its outside shooting to keep it close early, knocking down eight 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes. Matthias hit three with both Kael Stulo and Keck adding two each. In the second half, though, the Tritons were just 2-for-9 from beyond the arc.
"When you rely on that shot, when it stops falling, the offense really goes cold," Helle said. "We didn't move without the basketball well, with the basketball or take care of it."
Marshalltown scored 18 points off turnovers and 40 inside the paint. They also were plus-15 in bench points against Iowa Central.
Roberts, who made the game-winning free throws in the first meeting, had 16 in the first half. He also had nine rebounds with Caleb Jacobs adding seven points and Eli Elston six points with five assists.
Jordan Majeed had nine points, Josh Baker eight with eight rebounds and Stulo finished with six.
Iowa Central begins ICCAC play on Wednesday when they host ninth-ranked Des Moines Area at 7:30 p.m.
